What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician II position at GEA Group?
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responds to customer requests and field dispatches.
- Meets with customers at the site to discuss the service or repair nature.
- Provides advanced technical support and performs advanced troubleshooting for the compressor package.
- Provides advanced technical support and performs advanced troubleshooting on electrical and control systems.
- Performs retrofitting of industrial control panels across multiple manufacturers.
- Completes routine maintenance or repair in accordance with ANSI / IIAR-6 2019.
- Inspects machinery to confirm proper working order.
- Provides preventative measure suggestions.
- Discusses work completed with the customer.
- Submits all time sheets, expense reports (within 30 days), service tickets, start-up reports, inspection reports, and other required paperwork within the required timeframe.
- Performs after-hours telephone troubleshooting support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
