GEA Group’s Liquid Powder Technologies (LPT) division is seeking a Project Engineer – ASME Vessels to develop drawings and specifications for fabricated equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role is integral in engineering plant and equipment to meet process needs efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will act as a package owner, overseeing equipment from concept through commissioning, addressing issues, and ensuring smooth project execution.

Summary Pay Range
$85,000 to $100,000
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.

Responsibilities / Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed drawings and specifications for ASME vessels and other fabricated equipment, ensuring compliance with required standards and customer needs.
- Engineer plant and equipment to align with process requirements, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Act as the package owner, managing equipment from conceptual design to final commissioning.
- Develop equipment specifications, components, and instruments with input from process and automation/electrical teams.
- Maintain and update the equipment list/database with detailed specifications during procurement.
- Support procurement activities, including bid evaluations, to select optimal project solutions.
- Develop inspection plans and quality requirements for field-fabricated items to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Oversee stress analysis for vessels, ductwork, and piping to ensure structural integrity.
- Specify inspection, assembly, and procedural guidelines for successful project execution.
- Travel to fabrication workshops as needed to assist with quality assurance and problem resolution.
- Provide loading and support data required for building and structural design.
- Participate in on-site installation verification and process plant commissioning.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary to support project completion.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role with relevant responsibilities.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ASME vessel engineering calculations and design.
- Experience with stress analysis for vessels, ductwork, and piping.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and bid evaluations.
- Ability to specify inspection and quality control procedures for fabricated items.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
- Travel Requirement: Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
