The Logistics Manager at GEA Group will lead the logistics team, overseeing inbound and outbound shipments for projects of all sizes. Responsibilities include collaborating with project teams, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, managing logistics strategy, setting KPIs, and driving process improvements. The role also involves reporting on financial performance, optimizing logistics networks, and supporting global implementation.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Managing the logistics team to ensure flows from small shipments to large complex projects inbound and outbound
- Working with Project managers, project directors, purchasing, and end customer for accurate delivery planning
- Work directly with Trade Compliance to ensure divisional compliance
- Stakeholder for large project procurement of logistics and sourcing strategy
- Educating team on
- Logistics market updates to leadership
- Set team KPI’s for team members
- Idea generation of opportunities of process improvement across supply chain
- Managing the financial results of the of budget vs. actual cost of projects in pipeline
- Reporting claims with carriers and GEA global transportation insurance
- Managing the operational performance of the carriers and align with Category Management.
- Support with needs from carriers and customs brokers
- Support team creating logistics plan with Sales and Project Management
- Align with sales and category management on a project budget.
- Interact globally and regionally with key stakeholders to ensure logistics activities are optimally executed.
- Cross category collaboration for network or mode optimization
- Local and global implementation support if needed with structure and idea generation.
- Create and ensure proper use of processes and tools
- Develop team members and manage team perform & grow plan.
