Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for the upcoming camp season. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering a positive camp experience that encourages personal growth and teamwork.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during various activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures.
- Plan and implement engaging educational programs that promote learning through play.
- Provide behavior management support to help campers develop social skills and resolve conflicts.
- Foster a positive atmosphere by encouraging participation and inclusivity among all campers.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a cohesive camp experience.
- Assist with daily camp operations, including setup and cleanup of activities.
- Serve as a role model for campers by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and enthusiasm.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience in childcare or working with children in educational settings.
- Background in early childhood education or special education is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support diverse camper needs.
- Experience in tutoring or babysitting is a plus.
- A passion for educating and inspiring young minds through creative activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed.
