Job Title : Profee Ophthalmology Coding Auditor

Part-Time – Temporary through Mid-May 2025 possibly longer

Location : Remote

We are hiring a part-time, temporary, ProFee Ophthalmology Coding Auditor to join our team.

  • Conduct professional coding audits and support accurate audit reports.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities for documentation improvement, preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding audit findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform coding audits and education for a large academic multi-specialty health system.

Requirements :

  • Coding certifications through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CCS-P)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional coding ophthalmology cases.
  • Prefer experience auditing ophthalmology records
  • In-depth understanding of medical terminology, medical billing, and payment methodologies (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, E / M).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procedure and diagnostic coding for professional services, including Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Evaluation and Management Documentation guidelines.
  • Ability to conduct high-quality coding audits using both manual and technology-enhanced audit tools.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines under pressure with initiative, tact, and poise.
