POSITION SUMMARY: The Spanish speaking Bilingual Crew Supervisor is a working position that maintains production operations and requirements during work shift.
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
SUPERVISES: Operators and Furnace Operators
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Motivate, support and provide guidance to production staff.
- Ensure that safety standards are met to keep the organization accident free.
- Troubleshoot production issues.
- End of shift reporting to ensure maximum output and quality is being met.
- Communicate regularly with production manager.
- Evaluate machines and equipment to ensure continued production with minimal downtime.
- Work alongside operators to maintain production.
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Previous foundry experience preferred.
- Forklift license required – on the job training and licensure will be provided.
- Previous leadership experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including making general observations of facilities.
- The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Some protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Also subject to dust, dirt, and extreme noise.
