Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: Receive material, prep for production and shipping, and ship materials.
REPORTS TO: Shipping & Receiving Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loading and unloading materials
- Identifying materials for production and sorting accordingly
- Accurate recording of materials
- Moving semi-trailers and roll off boxes
- Banding materials
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma preferred but not required.
- Good work record and practices
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to properly drive and utilize a forklift.
- Ability to perform all physical labor tasks.
- Self-starter that takes initiative along with analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
- Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
- Exposure to weather conditions that may include extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, and loud noises
- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual Acuity: Ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to making general observations of the facility.
