Key Responsibilities
- Solicit group business within different market segments via prospecting and outside sales calls
- Identify, prospect, secure, and manage leisure/transient business to meet and exceed annual and monthly budgeted room nights and room revenue
- Maintain rapport and develop future business with existing contacts
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce a profitable mix of sales
- Attend networking events, develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies, and trade organizations to generate sales for the hotel
- Conduct site tours
- Maintain customer database
- Prepare contracts and BEOs and maintain departmental communication to ensure delivery of flawless events
- Develop and manage the departmental budget and monitor sales activity and performance to ensure sales meet or exceed established profit plan and accurately report variances/projections to management
