Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and timely preparation of dishes.
- Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Ensure all food safety regulations and sanitation practices are followed, maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to create and adjust menu offerings based on guest feedback, seasonality, and operational needs.
- Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste management to ensure profitability.
- Handle scheduling and staffing of the kitchen team, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours and maintaining a balanced labor cost structure.
- Assist in maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition at all times.
- Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and service staff for efficient guest experiences.
- Provide leadership during peak hours, ensuring the kitchen meets demand while maintaining high standards.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in kitchen management or a supervisory culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and controlling food costs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
