Job Title : Director of Procurement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Procurement to oversee and manage the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain operations for a rapidly growing restaurant organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in restaurant procurement and supply chain management, a strong understanding of inventory control, vendor relations, and cost management, and a proven ability to drive efficiency and quality in food sourcing and operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Procurement Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with organizational goals, ensuring the consistent supply of high-quality food, beverage, and restaurant supplies at competitive prices.
- Vendor Management : Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable deals while ensuring product quality and timely delivery.
- Cost Control : Monitor and manage procurement costs to stay within budgetary constraints. Work closely with operations and finance teams to track spending and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Inventory Management : Oversee inventory control procedures to ensure that stock levels are optimized, products are available when needed, and waste is minimized. Implement effective inventory tracking systems to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Supply Chain Optimization : Collaborate with the supply chain and operations teams to streamline logistics and ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products to restaurant locations. Address any supply chain disruptions quickly to avoid operational delays.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards. Work closely with vendors and quality control teams to monitor product quality and resolve any issues related to food safety or product defects.
- Forecasting & Planning : Anticipate future procurement needs based on sales forecasts, seasonal trends, and menu changes. Ensure that all products and supplies are available to meet demand.
- Team Leadership : Lead and manage the procurement team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration across departments.
- Reporting & Analytics : Provide regular reports on procurement performance, including cost analysis, vendor performance, inventory levels, and product usage. Make data-driven decisions to continuously improve procurement processes.
- Sustainability Initiatives : Identify and implement sustainable sourcing practices, exploring eco-friendly products and working with suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of procurement activities.
