Job Title : Terminal Director – Food Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Terminal Director to oversee food operations at our busy terminal in Queens, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fast casual and multi-unit management, and be capable of handling high-volume food service operations in a terminal environment. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Food Operations Management : Oversee all aspects of food service operations at the terminal, including managing food production, quality control, and service delivery. Ensure efficient workflows and high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Multi-Unit Supervision : Lead and manage multiple food service units within the terminal. Coordinate activities between units to optimize staffing, inventory, and product availability.
- Team Leadership : Supervise and inspire a diverse team of kitchen and service staff. Provide training, mentorship, and performance management to ensure high levels of service and productivity.
- Inventory & Supply Chain : Manage inventory levels, ordering, and procurement of food and supplies to ensure consistency and minimize waste. Work with suppliers to maintain quality standards and cost control.
- Customer Experience : Ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service by addressing guest concerns, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Health & Safety Compliance : Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and health standards across all units. Ensure compliance with all local and federal regulations.
- Budget & Cost Control : Monitor and manage the food operations budget, including food costs, labor, and overhead. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies while maintaining quality.
- Operational Reporting : Track and report key performance metrics, including sales, waste, labor costs, and customer feedback, to senior management. Make data-driven decisions to drive improvements in operations.
- Collaboration : Work closely with senior management and other departments to align food operations with the terminal’s overall objectives and goals.
