Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations Oversight
- Lead daily kitchen activities, ensuring all operations run smoothly and meet the restaurant's high standards.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to maintain seamless service coordination.
- Staff Leadership
- Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff to foster a high-performing team.
- Create schedules that balance labor management and operational needs effectively.
- Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Quality Assurance
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain consistency in flavor, plating, and quality.
- Implement and uphold recipes, portion control, and waste reduction processes.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of fresh, quality ingredients.
- Perform cost analysis and minimize waste to achieve food cost targets.
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure all health and safety regulations, including those outlined by local, state, and federal guidelines, are followed rigorously.
