Job Title : Bar Manager

Location : New York City

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of a high-end, upscale bar in a premier New York City establishment. The Bar Manager will be responsible for ensuring excellent guest service, managing bar operations, and leading a team of bartenders to deliver an exceptional beverage program. This role requires a strong background in mixology, team management, inventory control, and a passion for providing a top-tier experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Bar Operations : Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including managing the bar staff, ensuring adherence to safety and health regulations, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
• Team Leadership : Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and barbacks, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the menu, drink preparation, and customer service standards.
• Customer Experience : Maintain a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests, ensuring prompt and attentive service while maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
• Beverage Program Management : Curate and update cocktail menus, ensuring a balance of classic and innovative offerings. Oversee drink preparation, quality, and consistency.
• Inventory & Ordering : Manage inventory of spirits, wines, beers, and other bar supplies. Order and restock as needed while controlling costs to maximize profitability.
• Staff Scheduling & Payroll : Develop staff schedules based on business needs and monitor labor costs to ensure efficiency. Process payroll and manage timekeeping for bar staff.
• Financial Oversight : Monitor bar sales, handle cash and credit transactions, and ensure accurate reporting for financial tracking. Work closely with upper management to achieve financial goals and optimize profitability.
• Event & Private Functions : Coordinate with event planners to provide customized beverage services for private events, parties, and special functions.
• Quality Control : Ensure all drinks are made according to standard recipes, maintain proper stock levels, and uphold the overall quality of service and beverages served.
• Compliance : Ensure full compliance with local and state liquor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
