Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order of the facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties.
SHIFT: Monday thru Friday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm or a later start time. 4 hours per evening for 20 hours per week @ $11.00 per hour.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces, etc.
- Ensure all restrooms are stocked, clean, and well-maintained.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts within the facility.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies.
- Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
