Gedeon GRC Consulting is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team! The Civil Engineer is responsible and accountable for the planning, designing and construction management when required of highways / roadways, bridges, utility systems, and other various site development projects on both public and private properties. This position will work in a team environment to ensure project success.SALARY RANGE : $96,000-$125,000 annually, Pay commensurate with experience LOCATION : Options of Remote, Hybrid or in Office at our Syosset, NY, Princeton, NJ or Newark, NJ locations.BENEFITS : 90% Company contribution towards all Health Insurance Plans, 401K Match, PTO, Bonus Potential, 10 Paid Company Holidays, and much more.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : ❖ Participate in project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, design, quality review and completion. ❖ Prepare designs based on project plans and submit the designs for approval. ❖ Create and modify construction documents, reports, specifications and designs for projects. ❖ Develop detailed designs for urban and rural roadway / highway by analyzing the adequacy of vertical and horizontal alignments, drainage, sewer, storm water management, pavement markings, signage, signals and staging alternatives. ❖ Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other governmental regulations. ❖ Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for all projects. ❖ Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other government regulations. ❖ Review studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and plan for potential project impact.❖ Provide technical expertise to clients and personnel regarding design or mitigation alternatives.❖ All other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS : ❖ Bachelor's degree (B. S., or ) in Civil Engineering and a minimum of six (6) years related experience in general civil engineering with an emphasis on highway / roadway design, as well as storm water management / watershed analysis. ❖ Engineer-In-Training () required ❖ NY Professional Engineer () preferred ❖ Understanding of civil and traffic engineering with experience in highway / roadway engineering, pavement analysis, drainage and utility design, MPT and project management.❖ Experience with New York (city, state, and local) agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and NYCDDC a plus.❖ Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.❖ Understanding of government regulations, OSHA regulations and safety procedures❖ Proficiency with AutoCAD with Civil 3D, MicroStation, Inroads, etc.❖ Extremely organized and detailed oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple requests in a growing company environment.❖ Highly analytical with the ability to calculate complex mathematical equations.❖ Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
