Gedeon GRC is seeking a Director of Civil Engineering to join our firm. This director is responsible for the overall coordination at all levels during planning, design and implementation of engineering projects to ensure project completion in an efficient manner.
SALARY RANGE :
165,000-$200,000 annually, Pay commensurate with experience
LOCATION :
Options of Remote, Hybrid ( local to the NYC Metro Area) or in office at our Syosset NY, Princeton, NJ or Newark, NJ locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform quality review of contract documents including plans, specifications, and estimates
- Manage projects, clients, staff, safety and schedules of all projects within the Civil Department
- Manage financial performance of the Design projects
- Collaborate with VP to evaluate team members on performance
- Lead engineering team in formulating plans, designs, cost estimates, and specifications for civil, as well as traffic from concept to bid documents to deliver designs
- Hands-on design in the preparation of design plans using Civil3D.
- Calculations and report preparation for storm drainage, storm water management and water quality treatment systems
- Review and approve engineering designs
- Travel to job sites to make sure design specifications and standards are being met
- Provide technical expertise to direct and indirect personnel regarding design work.
- Spearhead client meetings such as proposal, progress and completion meetings when necessary
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
Salary : $165,000 - $200,000
