Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including compliance checks, content development, and final submission.
- Develop proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices to ensure alignment with requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to gather technical and business content.
- Write, edit, and refine proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.
- Manage color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and incorporate feedback to enhance proposal quality.
- Oversee proposal graphics, formatting, and production to ensure a polished final product.
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and agency-specific requirements.
- Maintain a repository of past proposals, boilerplate content, and best practices for future bids.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, English, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience in government proposal management
- Proven ability to tell high-quality, compelling stories
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the federal procurement process, including RFP analysis, compliance, and proposal writing
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to lead teams; manage workload, priorities, and schedules; and maintain the highest ethical standards
- A strong understanding of bid strategy
- Experience working with government agencies or prime contractors
- Experience working with highly technical organizations and engineers
- Experience with small business initiatives such as SBIR
- Experience working with systems such as GovWin, SAM.Gov, Grants.Gov, and GSA
- Experience with business development research including opportunity, alignment, and competitive assessments
- Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation
