Job Summary
The Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in developing and analyzing cost proposals, ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and company policies. This individual will support the pricing strategy for competitive bids, perform cost modeling, and provide financial analysis to optimize pricing decisions in government contracting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed cost proposals in response to government solicitations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FAR and company policies as applicable.
- Analyze solicitation requirements, pricing instructions, and contract terms to develop compliant and competitive pricing strategies.
- Work closely with Contracts, Business Development, Finance, and Operations teams to gather necessary inputs for pricing.
- Build cost models and pricing structures, including direct labor, overhead, G&A, fringe, and fee/profit calculations.
- Conduct cost realism and price-to-win (PTW) analyses to ensure competitive pricing.
- Evaluate pricing trends, market conditions, and historical data to inform decision-making.
- Support audits and negotiations by providing detailed pricing justifications and cost breakdowns.
- Maintain and update pricing databases, labor rate benchmarks, and cost estimation tools & templates.
- Assist with financial forecasting and budget analysis for contract performance monitoring.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a Mathematics related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or government contracting.
- Experience with cost proposal development under FAR and CAS regulations.
- Strong understanding of direct and indirect cost structures, escalation factors, and fee/profit strategies.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or similar financial systems preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple pricing efforts simultaneously.
- Experience with GSA Schedule pricing, IDIQ contracts, and task order proposals.
- Knowledge of DCAA and DCMA pricing audit requirements.
- Experience supporting competitive pricing strategy development and negotiations.
- Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must have a Secret clearance or be capable of obtaining an interim Secret clearance.
