Job Description:
We are seeking per diem Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Geer Village, a non-profit senior community located in historic Canaan, Connecticut.
Mission:
To create a supportive environment for seniors, promoting independence and well-being while fostering a sense of community among residents, families, and caregivers.
Jobs Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs and health status of residents.
- Assist with daily living activities, ensuring residents' comfort and dignity.
- Provide urgent care as needed, responding promptly to medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of Connecticut.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond to changes in resident conditions.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and families.
- Experience in memory care is beneficial but not required.
