Position Overview
The Entry Level Assembly role is responsible for the timely and accurate packing and transportation of product for storage or shipping. Daily tasks may include packing boxes, safely operating a forklift to relocate product and reading product documents to ensure accuracy. The Entry Level Assembler will operate on a team in a fast-faced environment. This role requires a focus on accuracy and safety, the ability to execute repetitive tasks consistently and efficiently, and pro-actively work as a part of the warehouse team.

1st Shift: 6am-2pm
Monday-Friday
Pay: $18/hour
Entry Level role
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer orders in the Partial Pallet area. Pick, pack and wrap finished goods to order specification. Ensure all related documentation is accurate for order processing.
- Put away and assist in picking materials from various warehouse storage locations to support production needs
- Safely operate a forklift after forklift training is complete
- Ensures compliance with Gehl Foods safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements while following the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Support FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation of ingredients, finished goods and materials
- Participate In loading and unloading of finished foods to ship to customer or warehouse locations
- Produce and record all necessary paperwork for material and finished good movements
- Execute manual, repetitive tasks, such as assembling, open and folding boxes and hand packing product into cases/boxes
- Ensure all materials and finished good meet Gehl Food & Beverage quality and documentation expectations
- Store and pick finished good pallets in the AS/AR system
- Maintains assigned work area and production environment in clean, orderly condition; completes environment cleaning requirements as necessary
- Actively participates in shift exchanges and team meetings
- Communicates with other operators and supervisory team
- Completes all assigned training, including eLearning and on-site training
- Perform warehouse sanitation and organization work as required
- Basic product/material inspection
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to support warehouse functions in a dynamic manufacturing environment
- Ability to use computers, handheld scanners, Ross ERP system, internal software and other technology
- Read, speak and write in English
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull about 50lbs on a regular basis, as well as sit, stand and move around warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or distribution environment but not mandatory
