Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all patrols on the Run Sheet assigned to each Patrol Beat.
- Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas on foot or in vehicle to detect and deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, including alarms and other calls for service.
- Assist other Patrol Officers with calls when additional assistance is needed to ensure officer safety.
- Observe and report information for CIS Security clients.
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and sensible manner.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to observe and document observations.
- Team player with a consistent positive attitude.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must hold a Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (“BSIS”) Security Guard License or be eligible to obtain a Security Guard License. Applicants with VALID guard card are preferred.
- Prefer one or more years’ experience as a Security or Patrol Officer, but not required.
