- Conduct thorough patient assessments and establish diagnoses to implement effective treatment plans.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record and order necessary diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe and manage medications while ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with the physician on significant medical management issues or test results.
- Perform procedures in line with the scope of practice for nurse practitioners.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and referring staff to foster a team-based approach to care.
- Advocate for patients by promoting safe, ethical care and offering health education in clear and accessible language.
