Job Duties :
- Provide advanced life support services in the community as dispatched.
- Comply with all Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Laws during operation.
- Conduct patient assessments and gather historical information, relaying crucial findings via two-way communications to the Medical Commander.
- Deliver patient care within the defined scope of practice and according to established triage, treatment, and transfer guidelines.
- Take charge at the scene of pre-hospital patient incidents, directing primary response teams effectively.
- Perform routine checks of vehicles and equipment at the start and end of each shift to ensure operational readiness.
- Complete comprehensive reports detailing outcomes of each dispatch, ensuring timely submission of patient encounter documents.
- Assist in orienting new hires and providing mentorship to less experienced personnel and students.
- Partake in general upkeep and housekeeping activities along with fellow team members.
- Engage actively in patient safety initiatives and improvement programs.
- Identify and report processes that could lead to patient safety issues or errors.
- Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies related to the role.
- Participate in mandated training programs aimed at enhancing patient safety.
- Promptly report any serious incidents following hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with local Fire and Rescue teams to conduct joint emergency operations.
