Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and coordinate daily operations within your assigned laboratory section.
- Manage a team of skilled professionals to ensure quality service delivery.
- Recruit, train, and guide employees through mentoring and performance evaluations.
- Oversee all laboratory information system functions, collaborating with IT teams to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Monitor staff training to ensure competency in all required applications.
- Delegate tasks to maintain balanced workloads and adequate resource coverage.
- Prepare and manage staffing schedules to meet service demands while maintaining productivity.
- Develop and monitor the section’s annual operating budget.
- Collaborate on planning equipment purchases and optimizing contract negotiations.
- Supervise materials purchasing, receiving, and inventory management to minimize costs.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold accreditation standards.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives for noticeable error reduction and enhanced service.
- Support Pathologists with administrative tasks related to research projects.
Position Details :
Hours : 3p-1 : 30a (10-hour shifts) or 5p-1 : 30a (8-hour shifts).
Travel : Less than 25% required.
On-call supervisory duties are mandatory.
Minimum of 1 year managerial experience required.
At least 6 years of relevant work experience necessary.
