Job Summary
An opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Cardiac Special Care Unit at Geisinger. Offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and up to $40,000 in financial support to become a Registered Nurse (RN). Competitive salary and benefits package available.
Job Duties
- Contribute to patient care assessment, planning, and implementation.
- Promote adaptive responses of patients and families.
- Provide compassionate care and coordinate patient care and staff interactions.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide input for performance appraisals and mentor new staff and students.
Position Details
Full-time, night shifts, every other weekend and holiday. Cardiac experience preferred but not required. Must have a strong interest in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgical Nursing care. Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing is required.
