Job Description:
Nurse Practitioner in Behavioral Health Role
This is a full-time position that involves collaboration with physicians to provide comprehensive care to new and established patients.
The ideal candidate will possess clinical autonomy, enabling them to evaluate, assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans effectively.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Evaluating patient needs and developing effective treatment plans
- Accurately documenting all patient encounters in the electronic medical record
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, as well as prescribing evidence-based therapies
- Adjusting or discontinuing medications as necessary to optimize patient health outcomes
- Engaging in thorough communication with collaborating physicians, patients, and referring staff to ensure coordinated and effective care
- Advocating for patients by providing safe, ethical healthcare and health education in an understandable manner
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing, specifically as a Nurse Practitioner.
Prior experience as a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) is preferred but not required.
