Job Summary: Geisinger Health System is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to provide critical speech therapy services. This role offers the opportunity to evaluate participants for swallowing, speech, and language disorders, conduct assessments and evaluations within 48 hours, and design comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients for swallowing, speech, and language disorders.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations within 48 hours of receiving a medical order.
- Document findings through written or electronic formats.
- Collaborate with patients and families to establish goals and expectations.
- Design comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to restore function and enhance quality of life.
- Prioritize treatment areas and deliver individualized therapeutic services.
- Administer clinical tests to monitor patient function.
- Maintain accurate documentation of clinical services provided.
- Fulfill discipline-specific competencies and statistical records.
Position Details: May require occasional coverage at other locations based on availability.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience (Preferred)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence; Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania
