About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide top-notch care to patients. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing effective treatment plans. This includes ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, and prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to establish diagnoses and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Document detailed and accurate notes in the electronic medical record and manage diagnostic tests and prescribe evidence-based treatments.
- Adjust or discontinue medications and therapies as necessary for optimal patient care.
- Communicate insights regarding patient care and test results to collaborating physicians.
- Perform clinical procedures within the legal scope of your nurse practitioner license.
- Advocate for patients by providing safe, ethical care and health education in understandable terms.
To succeed in this role, you must hold a Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner and be certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, you must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania and have Basic Life Support Certification.
