Job Title: Homemaker Companion

Job Overview

As a valued member of our team, the Homemaker Companion plays a crucial role in supporting our clients’ independence within their homes. This position involves delivering essential housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry services while cultivating meaningful relationships with clients that enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute necessary homemaking tasks as directed in clients’ residences, including thorough cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens, laundry, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Provide compassionate companionship while maintaining professional boundaries with clients and their families.
• Handle errands and transportation needs responsibly, ensuring timely and safe service.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ dietary requirements and safety standards, fostering a collaborative cooking environment.
• Accurately complete administrative responsibilities, including mileage logs and availability forms, in adherence to supervisory protocols.
• Communicate promptly with the team regarding client visit statuses, schedule adjustments, and any changes in service needs.
  
  

Required Skills

• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle for transportation duties.
  
  

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, meal preparation, or elder care is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients and understand their needs.
