Key Responsibilities
- Deliver fundamental patient care services as directed by the assigned unit under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Execute patient care tasks as specified by the RN in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Accurately document and gather data to support patient assessments and uphold the integrity of medical records.
- Identify and report any abnormalities or deviations to the RN.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and take necessary actions.
- Assist in reinforcing patient education as delegated by the RN.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients through focused and compassionate communication.
- Proficiency in providing basic patient care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a patient-centered approach.
- Capability to recognize emergencies and respond effectively.
- Competence in documentation and data collection.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Wisconsin CNA certification for work in Federally Certified Home Health Agencies and Hospices.
- Experience working with the public is a prerequisite.
- Current and valid Wisconsin Driver's License along with a reliable, insured vehicle.
