About the Role
As an Advanced Practice Nurse Anesthetist, you will provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will assess patient conditions, manage anesthesia delivery, and serve as a liaison among patients, families, and healthcare teams.
This role demands advanced nursing skills, critical thinking, and ongoing collaboration with medical professionals. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Anesthetize patients safely and effectively
- Select drugs for anesthesia and emergency treatment
- Maintain patient airway and respond to codes
- Monitor patient status and adjust medications as needed
- Treat variants of anesthesia
You will also be responsible for communicating patient status with the surgeon, anesthetist, and Charge CRNA, assessing patient status, interpreting hemodynamic waveforms, and taking corrective measures to keep patients in stable pre, peri, and post-anesthetic states.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
- Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Basic Life Support Certification
