We are seeking a skilled Blood Specimen Collector to join our patient care team. This individual will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, processing them for testing, and ensuring accurate information is recorded. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
In this role, you will perform venipunctures and skin punctures to collect blood specimens according to established protocols. You will also be responsible for evaluating specimen suitability and acceptability, resolving discrepancies, and navigating multiple computer applications. Additionally, you will participate in quality control and maintenance activities, handle and replenish reagents and supplies, and follow established reporting procedures.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year of related experience. Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician by the ASCP is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
