What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Intelligence Developer Associate position at Geisinger?
Observes during consultation process and documents project requirements and scope with assistance from more experienced analysts.
Collaborates with internal partners and organizations in the design and development of reporting solutions and routine analytic studies to support business needs.
Plans projects and request completion tasks with assistance from more experienced analysts.
Provides time and effort estimates based on requirements gathering. Must be able to manage projects with supervision.
Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant source systems needed to support primary stakeholders and proficiency with related databases/data marts within first year in role. Must demonstrate ability to become facile with the various business intelligence software systems used at Geisinger.
Develops, validates, and executes simple queries. Designs and builds basic reports/dashboards. Performs routine data analysis that answers business questions for internal customers; under supervision of more senior analyst or supervisor.
Presents analysis and reports to internal customers and stakeholders.
Integrates basic visualizations into self-service reports/dashboards, makes minor modificiations to more complex dashboards developed by more senior analysts, and offers visualization recommendations to stakeholders based on business goals, requirements, and the intended audience.
Reports and helps troubleshoot data quality issues when performing data profiling, testing, or validation.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
