Schedule and Work Type:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Danville, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will work on the pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery service, collaborating closely with our experienced surgeon to deliver exceptional patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will also need to possess a Bachelor's degree as a Physician Assistant (required) or Master's degree as a Physician Assistant (preferred). Certification as a Certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is also required. Additionally, you must have basic life support certification and be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and assist in the operation of the pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery inpatient and outpatient service;
2. Collaborate with the surgeon to schedule, evaluate, diagnose, and treat cardiac surgical patients in the adult cardiac ICU, PICU, and NICU;
3. Provide phone coverage for established patients and families;
4. Participate in research activities if desired;
5. Report to the Director of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery and work in a team setting with the surgeon and nurse navigator;
