Job Title: Chaplain Associate- PER DIEM (GCMC)
Geisinger's Spiritual Care Team is seeking a Chaplain Associate to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, caregivers, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend interdisciplinary team conferences, support meetings, and other meetings as appropriate
- Assess patients' spiritual needs and concerns in consultation with other team members
- Provide direct chaplaincy services to patients, family members, and caregivers of different philosophies and religious perspectives
- Consult with patients' clergy of choice and advise them on admission
- Document all visits and phone calls in the electronic medical record within an appropriate time frame
- Provide consultation, counsel, and support to other team members as needed
- Assist with training programs and in-service education as requested
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
