About the Role
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist OR Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing and reporting various analyses from multiple specimen sources, maintaining an expected level of productivity, managing multiple work processes efficiently, completing tasks in a timely manner, handling specimens properly, confirming identification and specimen suitability, using appropriate accessioning procedures, recognizing discrepancies on patient orders, resolving and reporting problems and solutions as appropriate, performing and recording instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control, replenishing reagents and supplies according to established protocols, following established reporting procedures, computerized, verbal, and manual as appropriate, navigating and accessing multiple computer applications as needed for job functionality, assisting in the training and orientation of new employees, participating in educational activities to maintain current knowledge in the field, and successful completion of initial and subsequent competency exams.
You will also be required to participate in educational activities to maintain current knowledge in the field and complete initial and subsequent competency exams. This position is anticipated to have a weekend and holiday rotation.
