Job Title: General Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Regional Float
We are seeking a General Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Regional Float to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and support other areas in the region as needed. This position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and a $6/hour premium on top of the base pay rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
- Operate all equipment within the modality, including setup and adjustment of immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
- Analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations.
- Assist physicians with various procedures and maintain related records and notations.
- Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures and educational training of students.
This role involves floating between hospitals within a regional location to fill scheduling gaps due to time off, FMLA, staffing shortages, or other coverage needs deemed relevant by radiology leadership. Coverage requirements may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or any combination.
Requirements:
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
- Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
