Job Summary:
Geisinger seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services in the outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for visits with providers, collect and document pertinent information, and perform various technical duties as needed.
- Assist providers with minor surgical procedures and ancillary examinations, and prepare and administer medications according to policy and procedure.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, complete associated paperwork, and expedite laboratory studies.
Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is preferred. Graduate from Specialty Training Program and certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
