Geisinger is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ambulatory Care Provider to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, providing top-quality care to patients across Centre County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient registration, intake, and flow through the clinic, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working condition.
- Conduct preliminary exams, take vital signs, and perform EKGs as ordered by the provider, demonstrating a solid understanding of clinical procedures.
- Administer medications and immunizations, following established policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, test results, and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience, with a focus on ambulatory care.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), reflecting expertise in medical assisting.
- BLS certification and LPN licensure preferred, demonstrating commitment to professional development.
