Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care and clinical support for physicians and other providers in the outpatient setting
- Assists with patient scheduling, filing reports, and follows up on documentation, phone calls, and billing inquiries
- Executes ongoing patient communication and reinforces patient education as directed by the provider
- Participates in the orientation of new personnel and supports a safe environment for patients
Qualifications
Candidates should have a strong background in medical assisting, preferably with certification from a recognized governing association. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a degree from a specialty training program being preferred. At least one year of related work experience is desirable, although not necessary.
