Job Description
Our team of phlebotomists play a vital role in collecting specimens for analysis in our state-of-the-art laboratories. As a phlebotomist, you'll be responsible for performing venipunctures and skin punctures on patients in our inpatient setting, as well as troubleshooting physician orders and processing specimens for testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques
- Processing specimens for analysis in the laboratory
- Troubleshooting physician orders and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate records of specimen collection and processing
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, although not required.
