About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Support Specialist at Geisinger ConvenientCare Central Region. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and administrative support to physicians and other providers.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Patient Care: Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, and assist patients as needed.
- Administrative Support: Complete receptionist and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments, filing reports, and following up on documentation and billing inquiries.
- Clinical Duties: Perform EKGs, wound dressings, and support during minor surgical procedures, as well as administer medications and complete patient tests and treatments.
Education and Certification
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a graduate from a specialty training program is preferred. Additionally, certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assist (RMA) is required, and must be certified by one of the listed governing associations.
