About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center Nursing Team. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients and equipment for endoscopic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Assists physicians during procedures, anticipating their needs and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
- Maintains and modifies technical equipment before, during, and following procedures.
- Supports department staff in all areas as needed, participating in cross-training opportunities.
- Adheres to all policies, protocols, and standards of care, including licensing and regulatory agency requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Basic Life Support Certification and ASGE Quality Certification.
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and patient safety.
