About the Role: Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA is seeking a board eligible or board certified Nocturnist Advanced Practitioner to join our GMC Inpatient Medicine Advanced Practitioner Team.
">In collaboration with physicians, provide care to new and established patients, demonstrating autonomy through patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
Makes accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record, orders and interprets diagnostic testing, consults as appropriate, and prescribes appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
Evaluates and reports to collaborating physicians any circumstances or approaches to medical management or test results that present a significant risk to patients' health or well-being.
Communicate with collaborative physicians, patients, primary care physicians, and referring staff through telephone or other means of correspondence.
Instill confidence in patients acting as their advocate by providing safe, ethical care and health education to patients and their families in a language they can understand.
Interpret and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.
