Job Summary
Geisinger is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Lewisburg, PA.This site qualifies for a $20k recruitment incentive.
Job Duties

You'll make a meaningful impact on your patients' lives with:
• 20-minute appointments and forty-minute appointments for elderly patient population
• Physician/APP panel sharing model
• Daily huddles with care team members to review coordination of care
• Pharmacists to assist with patient education and medication management
• Care managers, health managers, clinic health associates and coding educators
• Centralized prescription refill team
• Nurse call center to assist with on-call workload (nursing home calls directed to Skilled Nursing Facility team)
• Epic EMR – universal throughout Geisinger
• Increased access to care by means of eVisits, patient portals, Geisinger's ConvenientCare urgent care clinics

Our primary care archetype model stratifies onboarding, ramp-up, and practice into three tiers of increasing autonomy to ensure both new and experienced Advanced Practitioners get the support and professional satisfaction needed.
We provide opportunities for professional development through our internal programs, tuition reimbursement, teaching/precepting opportunities via advanced practice preceptorship, continuing medical education (10 days and $3,000 annually), and membership in the Advanced Practice Council to support Geisinger Advanced Practitioners and students.

Education
The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.
The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
