Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospital medicine team in Scranton, Pennsylvania. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.Job Duties
- Assess patients and establish presumptive diagnoses, developing treatment plans that align with evidence-based practice.
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records, ordering diagnostic tests and consulting as necessary.
- Prescribe medications and therapies, adjusting or discontinuing them as needed.
- Evaluate patient data and report significant risks to collaborating physicians.
- Perform procedures within the scope of your nurse practitioner license.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams through telephone calls and correspondence.
- Act as a patient advocate, providing safe, ethical care and health education in a language they understand.
- Interpret policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.
