Job DutiesGeisinger ConvenientCare(Urgent Care) clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problemsincluding sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinarytract infections along with routine health exams, immunizations,screenings and wellnessservices.

- OfficeHours - Monday - Friday 8 : 45 am – 8 : 15 pm
- Saturday & Sunday 7 : 45 am – 6 : 15pm
- 14 rotatingshifts / month – work every otherweekend
- No overnight shifts – no mandated additional shifts
- Callapproximately six nights per year – no direct patientcall – for critical lab, CT,etc.

WhyAdvanced Practitioners joinGeisinger :
Educationand experience (Required) :
Due to the autonomous natureof the position, Advanced Practitioners must be able to treatpatients from age one and older, and have at minimum six months ofPrimary Care, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Critical CareAdvanced Practiceexperience.
Thesuccessful Physician Assistant candidate will work under theresponsibility and supervision of the physician and requirecompletion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approvedphysician assistant program, current NCCPA certification oreligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.
The successful NursePractitioner candidate will work in collaboration with thephysician and have a certificate of completion from an approvedprogram for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold nationalcertification that allows the NP to work with the patientpopulations and location settings associated with this position.Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the stateof PA.
