Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant - EP Cardiology
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Electrophysiology department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.
About Geisinger Heart Institute:
Our institute spans a 45-county service area and has over 100 physicians and more than 75 advanced practitioners. This team provides care in 5 acute care tertiary/quaternary hospitals, 4 community hospitals, and numerous outreach locations, performing over 10,000 cardiac procedures annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients referred to the cardiology service.
- Demonstrate autonomy through patient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Manage and assist in the smooth, efficient operations of the inpatient cardiology patient, outpatient cardiology clinic, cardiac labs, and outreach cardiology clinics.
Requirements:
- Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or eligibility to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position.
- Eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
