Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant - Cardiology
Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Surgery Institute seeks a full-time physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our growing cardiology practice in the Western Region - Lewistown, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties:
- Combination practice of outpatient clinic in Lewistown and inpatient consultations at the assigned base hospital.
The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician, requiring completion of an ARC-PA approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility, and Pennsylvania State licensure.
The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician, having a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or being eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Required)
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Preferred)
- Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
