Responsibilities
• Prepare patients for surgery by connecting them to clinical equipment as needed.
• Practice aseptic techniques while preparing for surgery, including scrubbing, applying surgical gowns, gloving, draping, and setting up instrument tables.
• Participate in surgical Time-outs and operating room briefings according to the universal protocol.
• Maintain accurate records of supplies, including sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Document universal precautions and perform billing as appropriate for services rendered or equipment used.
Requirements
• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program (Required)
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience (Preferred)
